Terms of Use and Subscription
Version 1.0 · In force since [MISSING: date of entry into force]
The essentials
- AutoEdit is a program for Windows and Mac that edits your videos with your own Claude Code, and that you use from our website with your computer connected. You pay for the program and our cutting service, not for Claude: you need your own paid Claude plan or your own Anthropic API key.
- Each plan comes with editing minutes every month. One minute is one minute of the final video, and each video is charged once: redoing its cut is not charged again, except for whatever the final video grows (§5).
- You pay the first month when you take out the plan and then every month, until you cancel. On an annual plan, you pay the first year when you take it out and it renews every year, always at the same price.
- Cancel whenever you want from your account, in two clicks and without writing to anyone. The plan runs until the end of the paid period and nothing else is charged.
- Minute packs last 12 months.
- The app needs an internet connection and can be used on as many computers as your plan says.
- If you are a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw, on top of our refund policy.
1. Who we are and what makes up the contract
AutoEdit is sold by MONETIZANDO TU PASION LTD (“we”), a company registered in Cyprus with the Registrar of Companies under number [MISSING: registration number], with its registered office at Efesou 9, 5280 Paralimni, Cyprus. You can write to us at hola@autoedit.pro. We sell to customers all over the world, in euros.
These terms, the License, the Privacy Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy make up the contract between you and us. What concerns your account applies from when you create it, on your first sign-in with your code, where we tell you that by continuing you accept them; what concerns plans, packs and payments, from when you buy a plan or a pack. If anything in those documents contradicts these terms, these terms prevail, unless the other text is more favourable to you.
If you contract as a consumer, you also have the rights that the law of your country gives you, and nothing in these terms limits them. If you contract for your business or profession, some rules change, and we say so in each case.
How the contract is made
- You sign in with your email and the code we send you. That creates your account.
- You choose a plan on the home page or the “Plans” page (or a pack under “Buy minutes”) and see its price and what it includes. Before paying, on the payment page you see what you're getting and what you pay today (with a discount code, already reduced) and tick the box (“I want to start now and I accept the Terms and the Refund policy (if I withdraw within 14 days, what I've used is deducted)”; for a pack, the one on Stripe's page). With it you ask for the service to start straight away, within the 14 days you have to withdraw, and you acknowledge that you lose that right once the service has been fully provided (if you withdraw before then, we deduct from what you paid the part already provided, as the Refund and Cancellation Policy explains); and you accept these terms and that policy.
- You pay by card or with the other methods the payment page shows you depending on your country and device (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, PayPal, Klarna, Amazon Pay…): a plan, on our payment page, with Stripe's payment form (your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them); a pack, on Stripe's payment page. The button says what you pay (“Pay €39 and start”). Before pressing it you can review and correct your details and your card, or go back at no cost.
- We email you the confirmation of the contract, with the full text of these terms, the license and the refund and cancellation policy (with the withdrawal form).
- We keep the contract and the version of the terms you accepted; the confirmation email is your copy.
- You can contract in Spanish or in English (§21).
2. What AutoEdit is and what you need
AutoEdit is a program that you install on your computer and that, with your own Claude Code, edits talking-head videos: it cuts takes and silences, proposes and builds animations, and prepares the final video, the subtitles and the texts to publish it.
You use it from our website: your computer connects to our server and the website shows you the app's screens (§4). The automatic cut is calculated by our server from the transcript and the audio volume that the app sends it. Your videos never go through our server: when you watch them on the website, your browser loads them straight from your computer.
To use it you need:
- Your own paid access to Claude: a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise) or an Anthropic API key, in your name. It is not included in any AutoEdit plan and you pay Anthropic for it. How much you can edit each month with your Claude plan depends on the limits set by Anthropic, which may change.
- A computer with 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 or macOS 13 or later, 40 GB free and permission to install programs.
- An up-to-date browser to use the app from the website: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari 18.4 or later.
- An internet connection every time you use it (§4).
- A AutoEdit account with a plan in progress.
The installation downloads third-party programs from their official sources (among others, Claude Code, ffmpeg, Node.js, Python and the transcription models). Each one has its own license, which you accept when installing it; the License explains which they are.
Check before paying that you meet these requirements: if you do not meet them, AutoEdit will not work, and that is not a defect of the product.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- You sign in with your email and a 6-digit code that we send you; there is no password. The code expires after 10 minutes and works only once. Protect access to your email: whoever controls it can get into your account.
- Some emails (such as the notice of a failed charge) have buttons that sign you in without a code, only once and for a short time: do not forward them. To open your computers from the website or connect a new one, you have to sign in with a code.
- The account is personal: do not share it or let anyone else work with it. In a team, each person needs their own account and their own access to Claude.
- Use an email you check often: that is where your codes and billing notices arrive.
- Your AutoEdit account is not your Claude account. We will never ask for your Claude login details.
4. Computers, connection and use from the website
- You can use your account on as many computers at the same time as your plan allows (you can see it on the plans page). Each computer connects to your account with the code the app shows you (or by signing in with your email). To use it on another one, remove one under Your computers; if you connect an extra one, we will ask you which one to remove.
- How it works from the website. While the app is open, your computer keeps an encrypted connection with our server. From our website you open the app on your computer: the server passes what you do on the website to your computer and brings back its screens, without storing what goes through it (see the Privacy Policy). If your computer is off or the app is not open, the website tells you and you cannot work with it.
- AutoEdit has no offline mode. We check your account every time you use the app and before each job. Without a connection, or if our server does not respond, you will not be able to use the app from the website or start new jobs. What is already on your computer (your recordings, your projects and the videos already made) is still yours and is not deleted.
- If your version of the app is older than the minimum we support, it will only let you update it.
5. Plans and editing minutes
- Each plan includes some editing minutes per month, a number of computers and brands, and a price. You see them on the plans page and before paying.
- What a minute is. An editing minute is one minute of the final video: the length of the edited video according to the cut calculated by our server, at normal speed (speeding it up does not make it cheaper). If the cut proposes several versions, the longest one counts. We count the exact seconds, rounding up to the second. Before cutting, the app tells you roughly how many minutes it will use.
- When they are used. They are deducted when our server calculates the cut, once per video. If you redo the cut of the same video (with the same transcript), you are not charged again, unless the final video comes out longer than what you already paid for: then only the difference is charged. Every 10 re-cuts of the same video, the next one is charged in full. If you transcribe it again or use other recordings, it is a new video and it is charged. If a failure on our side keeps you from using a cut that has already been charged, write to us and we will give those minutes back.
- If you do not have enough minutes, the cut is not made: the app tells you so and offers to buy a pack or change plan.
- Plans with unlimited minutes. If your plan says “unlimited minutes”, your cuts do not use up minutes: you can edit as many videos as you like. The account is personal (or your business's): it is not shared or resold (§3 and §14). As on every plan, one cut is made at a time and at most 60 cuts per hour.
- Each month starts from zero. Plan minutes arrive with each monthly charge and expire at the end of that period: the ones you do not use do not carry over to the next month.
- Order of use. We always use first the minutes that expire first: normally the month's plan minutes and then the pack minutes, from oldest to newest.
- Minutes are not money: they cannot be sold, moved to another account or exchanged for money, except in the refunds these terms provide for.
6. Minute packs
- A pack is a one-off payment that adds minutes to your account straight away.
- Packs can only be bought with an active plan.
- Pack minutes expire 12 months after purchase; the exact date is shown in your account. Whatever you do not use within that time is lost.
- If you no longer have a plan (because you cancelled or did not pay), your remaining pack minutes are frozen: they cannot be used, but they become available again if you take out a plan before they expire. Freezing them does not extend their expiry. The same applies to minutes we give you. You can always see the ones you have in your account, and if you cancel, the email confirming the cancellation tells you how many will be frozen.
- If we delete your account at your request, your remaining pack minutes are lost; before that we tell you how many there are (§15).
7. When the plan starts
- The plan starts when you take it out: you pay the first month that day and then every month (on an annual plan, the first year that day and then every year, at the same price), until you cancel. To see whether it suits you, you have the 14-day withdrawal period (§11).
8. Prices, payments and invoices
- Prices are in euros and are shown before you pay. You are charged the amount you see on the payment page before paying.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are kept by Stripe; we never see them.
- On your bank statement, plan charges appear as [bank statement text: not configured]. If you don't recognise a charge, write to us at hola@autoedit.pro with its date and amount and we'll tell you what it is.
- Your invoices or receipts are in your account, under “Manage subscription” (Stripe's portal). If you buy for your business, add its details there so that your invoices are issued in its name.
9. Renewal, plan changes and cancellation
- Renewal. Your plan renews automatically every month, on the same day of the month it started (an annual plan, every year, on the same day it started and at the same price), and is charged in advance, until you cancel it.
- Upgrading. The change is immediate: you are charged the proportional part up to the end of the period straight away, and you receive the difference in minutes between the new plan and what you had already been granted in that period.
- Downgrading. It applies at the end of the current period; until then your plan and your minutes stay as they are.
- Cancelling. Whenever you want, in two clicks and without writing to anyone: in your account, “Cancel my plan” and confirm it on the secure payments page. You can also write to us and we will do it for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: until then you can still use your minutes and nothing else is charged. If you have a pending payment, cancellation is immediate and we do not try to charge you again. We confirm the cancellation by email.
- Cancelling does not delete your account. You can ask us to delete it whenever you want (see the Privacy Policy).
10. Failed payments
- If a charge fails, we email you and Stripe retries it several times over about 2 weeks.
- In the meantime you cannot make new cuts or use the app from the website. As soon as you update your card and the charge goes through, you get everything back.
- If you do not want to continue, “Cancel my plan” cancels it on the spot and we do not try to charge you again.
- If the last attempt fails, the subscription is cancelled: plan minutes are lost and pack minutes are frozen (§6).
11. Withdrawal (14 days)
- If you are a consumer, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason. The period starts on the day you contract: the day you take out the plan, or the day you buy a pack.
- How to withdraw. With the “Withdraw from contract here” button in your account, or with a clear statement by any means, for example an email to hola@autoedit.pro. You can use the withdrawal form, but you do not have to. It is enough to tell us before the period ends. We send you an acknowledgement with the date and time.
- What we refund. What you have paid, within 14 days at the latest from when you tell us, by the same payment method and at no cost to you.
- If you have already started using the service. When you sign up, you ask us to start the service straight away, within the withdrawal period (the box on the payment page). If you then withdraw, we deduct from what you paid the part of the service already provided: the proportion of that charge's minutes you have already used (with unlimited minutes, the proportion of the paid time already gone by). If you have used them all, the service has been fully provided and you can no longer withdraw from it. If you paid without ticking that box, we deduct nothing: we refund everything you paid.
- The 15-day guarantee. If it is your first plan and in those days you have edited at most 2 videos, you can use the guarantee instead: we refund everything you paid, with nothing deducted.
- If you contract for your business or profession, you have no right of withdrawal, but our refund policy applies.
12. Refunds
On top of withdrawal, we apply the Refund and Cancellation Policy: charges made by mistake, failures on our side, Anthropic changes that stop you from using the product and the 15-day guarantee of your first plan: if in those days you have edited at most 2 videos, we refund everything you paid with the “Request my refund (guarantee)” button in your account, your plan is cancelled at that moment, and it is once per customer (section 4). If you do not recognise a charge, write to us before complaining to your bank: we sort it out faster.
13. Discount codes
- A discount code lowers the price of a plan for as long as the code says, and it only works for the plans we created it for. Packs do not take codes.
- Codes are entered on our website before paying (on the plans page or on our payment page); not on Stripe's page or afterwards. They cannot be combined, cannot be exchanged for money, and may expire or have a maximum number of uses.
- If a code is used fraudulently or against its conditions, we may cancel it and charge the normal price from the next charge, telling you beforehand.
14. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Share the account, sell or transfer minutes or access, or use the account on more computers than allowed.
- Bypass or tamper with the account check, the minute count, the computer limit or mandatory updates.
- Send requests to our server that do not come from the official app or our website, use your computer's connection with our server for anything else, or overload it (load tests, bots or data scraping).
- Copy, redistribute or publish the program, its instructions for Claude, its templates or its resources, except as the License allows.
- Use AutoEdit so that several people work with the same Claude access, or in any other way that breaches Anthropic's terms.
- Edit or publish illegal content or content you do not have the rights or permission for (for example, other people's image or voice without their consent).
- Use the service to attack, probe or get around the security of our systems or third parties' systems.
You can edit your clients' videos with your account and your own Claude access. What you cannot do is let another person use your account.
15. Suspension and termination
- On your side: cancel whenever you want (§9) or ask us to delete your account. When it is deleted, your plan is cancelled on the spot and you lose what is left of the paid period and your remaining minutes, pack minutes included (§6); before you confirm, we tell you how many there are.
- Suspension. We may pause your account if a payment fails (§10), if you open a dispute or a chargeback with your bank (while it is being resolved), if we detect fraud or use contrary to §14, or if there is a security risk. Your account tells you it is paused: write to us at hola@autoedit.pro and we will tell you why, you can explain what happened and a person will review your case. If it is resolved, we reactivate the account. While it is paused you cannot use the app from the website or make cuts, but you can sign in to your account, see its status, cancel your plan and write to us. If you open a dispute, in addition, we stop charging you: your plan's cancellation is scheduled for the end of the period (or is immediate, if you had a pending payment) and, when that comes, your pack minutes are frozen (§6). If the dispute is resolved in our favour or you withdraw it, you can have your plan again.
- Closure on our side. Only for a serious or repeated breach, with prior notice except in case of fraud. If we close the account through no fault of yours, we refund the unused part of the period and of the packs.
- When the contract ends, the app stops doing new jobs. What you already generated is still yours (§18).
16. Claude and Anthropic
- AutoEdit is not affiliated with Anthropic, and it is not sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic PBC.
- AutoEdit works with Claude Code, which is installed with Anthropic's official installer and which you use with your own Claude account or your own API key. Your use of Claude is governed by your contract with Anthropic and you pay Anthropic for it. We do not sell, pay for or resell Claude usage, and your Claude login details never go through our server: we neither read nor store them.
- What Claude reads and writes while it works is handled according to the terms and privacy settings of your Claude account. When you use the app from the website, what you write to Claude (comments, messages and images) and what the app shows you of its work go through our server between your browser and your computer: they travel encrypted to and from our server, and we do not store them.
- If Anthropic changes its terms, its limits or its product in a way that stops you from using AutoEdit with a Claude access and there is no reasonable alternative (for example, with an API key), you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your period and your packs.
- We do not control Claude's availability, limits or quality. Always review the result before publishing it.
17. Availability, updates and changes to the service
- We do what is reasonable to keep the server running at all times, but there may be stops for maintenance (we announce them when we can) or failures. As there is no offline mode, you will not be able to use the app from the website or start new jobs while a stop lasts. If a failure on our side leaves you without service for more than 24 hours in a row, write to us and we will compensate you with plan days or minutes.
- We publish updates of the program. Some are mandatory (security, compatibility or server changes): if your version is older than the minimum, the app will only let you update it. If you do not install an update we have offered you, we are not liable for the failures it would have fixed.
- We may improve or change features. If a change harms you significantly, we will tell you in advance and you will be able to end the contract at no cost and get back the unused part.
18. Your content and what you generate
- Your recordings, your projects and everything AutoEdit generates on your computer (animations, subtitles, cuts, final videos…) are yours. You can use them however you want, also after cancelling. The License explains this in detail.
- To calculate the cut, the app sends the transcript and the audio volume curve. We only use them for that and we do not store them: we keep a fingerprint that cannot be used to rebuild them, to know whether you are redoing the cut of the same video (see the Privacy Policy).
- You are responsible for having the rights and permissions for what you record and publish.
- Back up your projects: they live on your computer and we cannot recover them.
19. Legal guarantee and liability
- If you are a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services for as long as your contract lasts. If something does not work as we say, write to us: we fix it and, if we cannot, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract with the corresponding refund.
- We are not liable for what Claude or any other third-party service does or fails to do, for failures of your computer, your connection or third-party programs, or for what you publish.
- If you contract for your business, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event that causes it, and we are not liable for loss of profit or indirect damage.
- Nothing above limits our liability where the law does not allow it: for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury, or the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
20. Changes to these terms and to prices
- We may change these terms for legal, security or service reasons. We will email you at least 30 days before they apply, unless the law requires it sooner. If you do not agree, you can cancel at no cost before they apply.
- Prices: if the price of your plan changes, we tell you at least 30 days in advance and the new price applies from the first period that starts after that time. You can cancel before. What you have already paid (periods and packs) does not change.
- The current version is always on this page, with its date. We keep a record of which version you accepted.
21. Communications and customer service
- We send the sign-in codes and service notices (charges, minutes and changes) to your account email. They are part of the service. We will only send you advertising if you give us separate permission, and you can withdraw it whenever you want.
- Support: hola@autoedit.pro. We reply as soon as possible and, for complaints, within the time the law sets.
- You can write to us in Spanish or English. These terms exist in both languages; if there are differences, the version in the language in which you contracted prevails.
22. Governing law and complaints
- This contract is governed by the law of Cyprus and disputes are settled by the courts of Cyprus, without prejudice to the rights the law of your country gives you as a consumer: if you are a consumer, you still have the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and you can bring claims before the courts of your place of residence.
- If you have a complaint, write to us first at hola@autoedit.pro: almost everything gets solved that way. You can also go to the consumer authorities of your country. We have not joined any alternative dispute resolution body.
