License
Version 1.0 · In force since [MISSING: date of entry into force]
The essentials
- We let you use AutoEdit while you have a plan in progress, on the computers of your account that your plan allows and with an internet connection.
- What you generate with it is yours, also after cancelling.
- You cannot copy it for others, resell it, modify it or bypass its checks.
- Third-party components have their own licenses, and those licenses prevail over this one.
- Claude Code is not part of the program: it belongs to Anthropic and you use it with your own account.
1. Who grants you the license and what it covers
The copyright in AutoEdit belongs to MONETIZANDO TU PASION LTD (“we”) or to whoever licenses it to us. All rights reserved.
This license covers the program: the desktop application and the screens it shows (on your computer or, with your computer connected, on our website), the ve command, the instructions that Claude reads (skills, guides and configuration files), the templates, our own resources, the documentation and the updates we give you. The online service (your account, the minutes, the cut calculated by our server and your computer's connection with our website) is governed by the Terms of Use and Subscription, which form a single contract with this license.
2. What you can do
- Install and use the program on the computers connected to your account, up to 2 at the same time, or as many as your plan allows.
- Use it for your own videos and for your clients' videos, for personal or professional purposes, as long as you do the work yourself with your account and your own Claude access.
- Make the technical copies the program needs to install, update and run, and one backup copy.
The license is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, and it lasts while you have a plan in progress.
3. What you cannot do
- Copy, distribute, publish, lend, rent, sell or sublicense the program or any part of it.
- Let other people use your account or your installation.
- Modify, translate or adapt the program, except as third-party licenses allow (§5).
- Decompile or disassemble the program, except to the extent the law expressly allows you to, for example for interoperability.
- Bypass, disable or tamper with the account check, the minute count, the computer limit, mandatory updates or any other technical measure of the program.
- Extract, publish or share the program's instructions for Claude, templates or resources, use them outside AutoEdit or use them to create a product that competes with it.
- Remove or change the rights, trademark or license notices.
Normal use with your Claude is allowed. To work, your Claude Code reads the program's instructions and files, and their content reaches Anthropic through your Claude account. That is normal use and does not breach this license.
4. What you generate is yours
The Output is the files that AutoEdit generates, or copies into your work folder or your video projects, while it runs. Among others: the animation compositions (HTML, CSS and the files built from them) and the brand and font style sheets and font files added to them; project files such as edit.json, transcripts, cut proposals, reports and review files; subtitles, chapters, descriptions and title suggestions; and contact sheets, previews, rendered animations and rendered videos.
- You can use, copy, modify and distribute the Output under the terms you choose, also for commercial purposes and after your plan ends, without paying us anything else.
- You do not give us any right over your Output or your recordings.
- Third-party material that the program copies into the Output keeps its license: the fonts, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (if you share the font files, include their license), and the sound effects, under CC0 1.0.
- The templates and sample files, as they come with the program, remain ours. The copies the program places in your Output are Output.
5. Third-party components
The program includes fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and sound effects under CC0 1.0. It also works with third-party programs, models and services that it does not include and that the installation downloads from their official sources: among others, Claude Code (Anthropic), ffmpeg, Node.js, Python and uv, Python and npm packages, HyperFrames, the Google browser that HyperFrames uses and the transcription models (such as Parakeet, licensed under CC BY 4.0).
- Each component is governed by its own license, which prevails over this one for that component. The full list and its notices are in
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. - Nothing in this license limits the rights those licenses give you. In particular, you may replace the LGPL-licensed libraries with modified versions and reverse-engineer to debug those modifications, and we add no restriction to the CC BY-licensed models.
- When installing, the installer may accept the licenses of those programs on your behalf (for example, with winget on Windows). Installing AutoEdit means accepting them.
6. Claude Code and Anthropic
- Claude Code is not part of the program. It is installed with Anthropic's official installer, unmodified, and you use it with your own Claude account or your own API key. We do not remove or restrict any of its sign-in methods.
- Your use of Claude is governed by your contract with Anthropic. We do not pay for, resell or act as an intermediary for your Claude usage, and the program does not read or store your Claude login details.
- AutoEdit is not affiliated with Anthropic, and it is not sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic PBC.
7. Connection, account and updates
- The program needs an account with a plan in progress and an internet connection: we check the account every time you use it and before each job. It has no offline mode.
- When you connect it to your account, the program stores a credential for your computer in the system's secure store (Windows Credential Manager or the macOS keychain). Do not share it.
- While it is open, the program keeps an encrypted connection with our server so that you can use it from our website, and it hands your videos to your browser directly, with links that expire after a few minutes.
- Updates are part of the program and are governed by this license. Some are mandatory: with a version older than the minimum, the program only lets you update it.
8. Intellectual property and trademarks
- The program is licensed, not sold. All rights this license does not expressly give you are reserved.
- “AutoEdit” and its logos are trademarks of MONETIZANDO TU PASION LTD or of whoever licenses them to us. This license gives you no right over them. The other trademarks mentioned belong to their owners and are named only to identify them.
9. Term and termination
- The license starts when you install the program and lasts while your account has a plan in progress. It ends when the contract ends or if you breach it seriously (see the Terms, §15).
- When it ends, the program stops doing new jobs and you can uninstall it. Your Output is still yours. Sections 4, 5, 8, 10 and 11 continue to apply afterwards.
10. Guarantee and liability
If you are a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services, as explained in the Terms (§19), and liability is governed by them. The program works with your own Claude: review the result before publishing it and back up your projects.
11. Governing law
That of the Terms (§22).
Annex: open beta terms
AutoEdit is in open beta: anyone can subscribe, and whoever uses it is subject to this license and the full Terms, with their withdrawal right, their guarantee and their refunds, and also to this:
- It has this price because it is in beta. It is a program under development and it may contain errors: we keep fixing and improving it with each update. Back up your projects.
- Do not share the installer or your access. You may show and publish the videos you make with it.
- Your feedback helps us. You allow us to use your ideas and suggestions to improve AutoEdit, without that committing us to anything. We will only publish your name or your testimonial with your permission.
- Courtesy plans. We may give you a courtesy plan, free of charge, for the days we tell you: each month it brings its plan's minutes. When it ends, your account is left without a plan and the minutes you have left from it expire.
- End of the beta. It ends when the stable version comes out, and we will tell you by email. From then on, the normal license applies; if the price of your plan changes, we tell you as the Terms say (§20).
- This annex does not limit what the law grants you as a consumer.
